In 2018, I first conceptualized my debut album, Blue Monarch; a deeply personal project that chronicles a five-year sticky situationship between two guys. The narrative traces the full emotional arc: from the upbeat, charged tension of early romance in tracks like “T.B.F.W.P.” and “Dominant,” through the raw vulnerability of unrequited love in songs such as “Vulnerable” and “First Move,” to the internal conflict around sexual orientation explored in “Who You Are.” There’s still that flicker of hope for reconnection and a fresh start in “Future,” even as a new persona emerges. Ultimately, though, the album lands on the bittersweet acceptance that some romances are “Better Left Unsaid”.
